Terms of Service

1. What Deliverr Me Is

Deliverr Me is a technology platform that connects customers with independent errand runners across Arizona, Florida, Georgia, and Nevada. Deliverr Me is not a delivery company. We do not employ runners or perform deliveries ourselves. We provide the software platform that facilitates the connection between customers and runners.

2. Runner — Independent Contractor Status

By signing up as a runner, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • You are an independent contractor, not an employee, agent, partner, or joint venturer of Deliverr Me.
  • You are solely responsible for reporting and paying all applicable taxes, including self-employment tax, on income earned through the platform.
  • Deliverr Me is not responsible for providing health insurance, workers' compensation, unemployment insurance, retirement benefits, or any other employee benefits.
  • Deliverr Me does not guarantee a minimum number of orders, minimum hourly earnings, or continuous availability of orders.
  • You are responsible for your own vehicle, fuel, mobile phone, data plan, and any other equipment or expenses incurred while completing errands.
  • You are responsible for maintaining valid personal auto insurance on any vehicle you use. Deliverr Me is not liable for accidents, injuries, or vehicle damage that occur while you are completing an errand.
  • You may be suspended or permanently deactivated from the platform for consistently low reliability scores, repeated order cancellations, dishonest conduct, or violations of these Terms.

3. Runner — Safe Handling of Items

As a runner you agree to:

  • Handle all customer items with reasonable care during pickup, transport, and delivery.
  • Photograph items at pickup and delivery as required by the platform.
  • Notify the customer promptly if items are unavailable, damaged at pickup, or if any issue arises during the errand.
  • Not consume, open, or tamper with any item entrusted to you for delivery.
  • You accept full personal risk for any high-value items (estimated value over $200) that you handle during an errand. Deliverr Me is not liable for loss or damage to high-value items and will not compensate runners or customers for such losses. If you are uncomfortable handling high-value items, you may decline the order.

Deliverr Me may deduct reliability points or deactivate your account for mishandling items, providing false delivery confirmations, or dishonest conduct of any kind.

4. Runner — Injury and Safety

You accept all risk associated with performing errands, including driving, walking, and carrying items. Deliverr Me strongly recommends that you maintain adequate personal health and auto insurance before accepting orders. Deliverr Me is not liable for injuries sustained while performing errands on the platform.

5. Customer — Platform Limitation of Liability

By placing an order, you agree that:

  • Deliverr Me connects you to an independent runner and is not responsible for the actions, conduct, or negligence of runners.
  • Deliverr Me's maximum liability for lost, stolen, damaged, or incorrect items is limited to the service fee you paid for that specific order. We are not liable for the replacement value of items, regardless of cause.
  • Deliverr Me does not accept orders involving items with an estimated or declared value exceeding $200. Orders placed for high-value items (electronics, jewelry, cash, etc.) are outside the scope of our platform and are placed entirely at the customer's own risk.
  • You are responsible for providing accurate, complete pickup and delivery addresses and any relevant access instructions (gate codes, apartment numbers, etc.). Deliverr Me is not liable for failed or delayed deliveries resulting from inaccurate information.
  • Deliverr Me is not responsible for the quality, freshness, accuracy, or condition of items purchased by runners from third-party stores or restaurants.

6. Customer — Cancellation and Refunds

  • Orders cancelled before a runner accepts are eligible for a full refund of all fees paid.
  • Orders cancelled after a runner has accepted but before pickup: the service fee is non-refundable; the item budget (if pre-authorized) will be released.
  • Orders cancelled after a runner has already picked up items are not eligible for a refund of the item cost. The service fee is non-refundable.
  • Refunds, where applicable, will be returned to your original payment method within 5–10 business days.

7. Item Budget and Overage

For store and pharmacy orders where the runner purchases items on your behalf:

  • A minimum item budget of $10.00 is required for all shop orders.
  • You authorize Deliverr Me to pre-authorize your payment method for up to 150% of the item budget you provide (50% buffer). This allows the runner to purchase items without interruption if the actual cost is within 50% of your budget.
  • If the actual item cost is within 50% over your budget, the difference is charged automatically to your card — no approval needed.
  • If the actual item cost exceeds your budget by more than 50%, the runner is required to remove or skip items until the total falls within the 50% limit before proceeding. You will not be charged more than 150% of your stated budget. The runner controls which items to remove based on availability and price.
  • Any items removed by the runner due to budget constraints will be treated as out of stock and will not be delivered.
  • You will only be charged the actual item cost, not the full pre-authorized amount. Any unused pre-authorization will be released.
  • “Store brand” items: When you select “Store brand” as your brand preference, you authorize the runner to purchase the store's own private-label equivalent (e.g., Kroger®, Signature Select, Great Value, Good & Gather, Kirkland Signature) at their discretion based on what is available at the specific store location.

8. Item Substitutions

If an item you requested is out of stock, your runner will photograph an alternative and send it to you for review. You are always in control:

  • You will receive an in-app notification to approve or skip the alternative.
  • We will only proceed automatically if the alternative is the same price or less — you will never be charged more without your explicit approval.
  • If the alternative costs more than the original, your approval is always required before the runner proceeds.
  • If you decline or skip a substitution, that item will be removed from your order and you will not be charged for it.
  • By placing a shop-and-deliver order, you consent to this substitution policy.

10. No Warranties

Deliverr Me provides the platform "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the platform will be available at all times, that runner availability will meet demand, or that errands will be completed within any specific timeframe.

11. Governing Law

Deliverr Me operates in Arizona, Florida, Georgia, and Nevada. To the extent required by applicable law, users in those states retain any rights granted to them under the laws of their respective states that cannot be waived by contract, including applicable consumer protection rights.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via email or a notice on the platform. Continued use of Deliverr Me after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
